The best beach in Newport - your idyllic New England beach backed by dunes, with free parking since it is off-season. Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is also just past the beach. September also has the warmest water of the year, so hopefully we will be blessed with good enough weather to allow swimming.

A stunning walk with waves crashing into the rocky shorline on one side and the sprawling, historic lawns of Gilded Age mansions on the other. You can enter at 1st beach or mid-trail at the famous Forty Steps landmark off Narragansett Avenue.

There is much to explore in this historic New England town. Hope Street (the street Linden Place is on) is adjacent to the water and is lined with colonial homes, independent shops, and restaurants.

Have a leisurely walk in this small historic village with antique shops, cafes, and art galleries. You also would have passed through it going to grab a coffee at Art Cafe to meet up at our Airbnb the day after the wedding.
